UM SIBSMILE (Sibling Studies Measuring Infant Learning and Emotion) is a research study that investigates the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children between 2 months to 4 years of age.
The research data is used to examine differences in the development of younger siblings of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and those with a typically developing older sibling. The study is funded by Autism Speaks (AS), UM-NSU CARD, the Marino Autism Research Institute (MARI), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
